Data Robotics adds the new DroboPro FS to the family

The Drobo family of BeyondRAID storage devices has been very popular with Mac prosumers, creative professionals, and small businesses since the first product shipped in 2007. Slowly but surely, the company has been building up its product line. Data Robotics now has three Direct-Attach Storage (DAS) devices, the Drobo, Drobo S, and DroboPro; a Network-Attached Storage (NAS) device, the Drobo FS; and a Storage Area Network (SAN) device, the DroboElite.

In a recent interview with Mark Fuccio of Data Robotics, he noted that customers were asking for a NAS device with more than the five drive bays of the Drobo FS, and they also wanted redundant network connectivity and a simple way to back up files offsite. The result? A new product that was announced this morning, the DroboPro FS.

Thank you for your interest in advertising on WhichNAS.com. Our site is brand new but we already have some top companies with back links to us and quite a few users. We are working very hard to optimize the site and get top rankings on all the search engines to bring you a very good ROI. Our target market is anyone in the world who is looking for a Network Attached Storage device for their home or office. That means that you will have a very broad range of users browsing the site at any given time. From a college student who may be looking to store all their downloaded music and photos on a small 2 bay to the head IT manager at a very large corporation who needs to make sure that their data is backed up and secure on the latest and greatest rackmount.

What does this mean to you?

Well, since we are a relatively new site, it means that you are getting in on a very exciting opportunity at the ground level. We are working out our advertising plans and can tailor a package specifically for you.

Advertisements can be run in a variety of formats, sizes and locations to suit your needs.

File formats

  • Flash or Gif, static or animated. Please ensure that any Flash file has a Click_tag

Banner restrictions

In the interests of protecting both our readers and advertisers, and to ensure that our pages operate smoothly on as wide a range of Internet enabled devices as possible, a number of restrictions on banner advertising exist. These are listed below.

  1. Banners should be provided in animated GIF (or static PNG/JPG) format if they:
    1. Only link to a single place (e.g. clicking the advert takes the user to a specific page)
    2. Have no dynamic content (e.g. are a looping animation that the user doesn't interact with other than to follow a link)
  2. Flash (SWF) adverts will only be accepted if, when viewed on their own, they use less than 5% of a 2.6GHz CPU.
  3. No banner (static, GIF or SWF file) should be larger than 150k. Please make sure your banners are optimized to be as small as possible to keep our load times to a minimum.

Any banner submitted in Flash (SWF) that meets the criteria set out in clause 1 will be rejected and a GIF conversion requested in its place. If the banner doesn't meet the criteria in clause 1, then the banner must meet the restrictions in clause 2 in order for us to accept it and include it on our sites. WhichNAS reserves the right to determine, using its own methods, whether any banner meets the aforementioned criteria, and can apply additional restrictions where deemed necessary.

Text link advertising

Text links offer highly effective, low-cost solutions for increasing product sales. We are currently offering a very low, flat monthly rate. Contact us to find out more about this most cost-effective way to increase your sales in the current economic climate.

CPM advertising

Affluent consumers and SME business managers form the bulk of the readership, as you would guess from the site's content, with a reasonable proportion of enterprise IT managers viewing the NAS product reviews and knowledgebase content.

Effective, concerted branding and/or traffic generating campaigns can be constructed using banner adverts, skyscrapers, MPU box adverts and sponsored links. Advertising content can be hosted on our server or yours, with full statistics available.

Remember...

WhichNAS.com is content-rich with a simple design. People don't visit the site because it looks pretty or has gimmicks. They return again and again to read the reviews because they are genuine NAS buyers, and so they are excellent targets for advertising.

What now?

We can tailor campaigns to your specific requirements, so feel free to drop us a line and we can work something out. Please contact us for further information on availability and rates. A representative will be in touch to discuss your requirements.
